Spotlight: Healthy Pet
Healthy Pet, a manufacturer of pet bedding and cat litter, has operated a facility in Jesup, Georgia since 2004. The company is owned by J. Rettenmaier & Sohne Group (JRS), based in Rosenberg, Germany.

Healthy Pet – previously known as Absorption Corp. – chose Jesup and Wayne County primarily for its location in the center of South Georgia’s pulp mills. Byproducts and waste from the pulp mills are the perfect raw materials for the highly absorbent pet products that Healthy Pet manufactures.

The Wayne County Industrial Development Authority has assisted Healthy Pet with facility leasing terms and industrial revenue bonds.
